This was prescribed for me by my ophthalmologist: When I awaken, the eyelid of one eye was stuck to my eyeball and I couldn't open that eye. I have dry eyes, but the doctor said I had a corneal anomaly that was making the problem worse. I use this product before sleep and it has solved the "stuck" eyelid problem. It does leave a bit of oiliness around my eyelids in the morning, but that is cured by wiping with a tissue.
